Fam Squad {Houma, La Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing this family right after Christmas.  It was supposed to be a family of 7, but one child had to go back home out of state and another child had to have surgery 🙁  So the family of 7 turned into 4 and the family dog.  Despite missing 2 members, the images turned out fantastic and I was able to catch a special moment between their youngest daughter and their doggy <3.

Tree Farm {Houma and Thibodeaux, LA Photographer}

I had the privileged of photographing this family while visiting family in St Louis, MO.  They had a lovely train station with a Christmas tree farm with in walking distance.  Thankfully, the weather had warmed up from the snow storm they had the previous week, and we were given sunny and warm weather!

Cousins! {Houma, LA Photography}

Before Thanksgiving I had a session with two families. A lady and her sister in law wanted images of all the cousins together. You could tell they loved each other. The two little girls were more like sisters than cousins.

Bear’s, Zebra’s and Dragon’s, Oh My! {Houma, La Photographer}

Had a blast photographing and creating these 3 portraits for my mini session offerings!  I wanted to get my creative juices flowing and create a few new composite images to share.  I had the idea of the zebra and bear, because who doesn’t love bears and the zebra is just so fun and whimsical!  The dragon came to me a few days later.  Nothing more fun than taking your pet dragon for a walk down through your neighborhood.

Swan Fairy – {Houma, La Photographer}

It was such a pleasure photographing this little fairy! We had to postpone the session due to rain, and the sun shone one morning last week for us to squeeze in her session! She looked adorable in her pink dress and had a blast wearing the fairy wings. Mom also brought along her rain boots for her to jump in “muddy puddles” like Peppa Pig and Suzy Sheep. At one point she looked down at her feet, and when I was going through the files decided I just had to at a feathered friend for her to be playing with!

Mommas Dress {Houma, LA – Children’s Photographer}

These 2 little girls loved dressing up in their mothers wedding dress. It’s hard to fit an elementary aged child into an adult dress, but with lots of clips and dress smoothing, both girls were able to look like little mini mom. Each little girl was also wearing an important cross necklace.  The older one was wearing a cross necklace she had been given as a gift for her First Communion and the younger one was wearing her moms childhood cross necklace.

My hope is these images are special to both mom and her daughters for many years to come!

Vintage Beauties {Houma, La and Thibodeaux, La Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing these gorgeous and spunky girls a few weeks ago at their relatives house in Thibodeaux, La.  She had this lovely garden with an arbor, moss covered trees and rows of sugar cane behind her house!  It was the absolute perfect setting for their session.

I always suggest outfits to compliment the personality of the one being photographed.  Mom had bought these dresses for them and was wondering about what shoes to wear.  The girls chose their cowboy boots!  Country chic!  To complete the outfits, I had the perfect purple crown to match the purple dress she bought and a lovely cream floral and flower barrette to match the pink.

We were just wrapping up the session when the home owner brought us to this “tree cave”, where the last image was taken. The low light shining through the trees fell perfectly on the girls, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this session! Well, except I happened to step on a poison ivy plant…  thanks to one of the little girls for pointing that out, as I had NO idea what one looked like.  Drove home and stashed those shoes in the garage!  I wasn’t taking any chances!
